Mission Statement:

To provide a short term missions experience for Hampton Falls First Baptist Church to work as God’s ambassadors in Mexico. We will serve and minister to a specific Mexican community, an orphanage called La Casa de la Esperanza. We will convey the message of the gospel of Jesus to those we meet through bible school, service projects, teaching and fellowship, as well as encouraging and fostering spiritual growth. We also desire to grow in humility, cultural sensitivity, compassion, group unity and in our walk with Christ.

Where:  Tijuana, México – La Casa de la Esperanza

When:  Nov. 21 – Nov. 30, 2024. (Dates could be adjusted slightly for airfare.)

How much:  $1,000 per person (approximate). To be raised by individuals, team fundraisers and church support.

Commitment

  1. Submit an Application: due by August 18th. Interviews will be completed by September 22nd.

  1. Attend Mandatory Meetings:Sept.30th, Oct. 6, Oct. 27 (all 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.) and Nov. 17th 12:00 –4:00 p.m.
  2. Throughout the training commit to grow in:
    1. Basic Language skills
    2. Cultural Sensitivity
    3. Personal Spiritual Walk
    4. Group unity
  3. Throughout the training commit to work on:
    1. A. Planning Construction projects
    2. VBS lessons
    3. C. Translation Work
    4. D. Spanish music
  4. Raise required funds and meet appropriate deadlines.
    1. Secure a passport
    2. Submit all funds by November 1
  5. 6. During the trip pray to:
    1. Give with a heart of service
    2. Love with the compassion of Christ
    3. See through the eyes of another culture
    4. Become part of a team and give up your rights
